BENEFITS OF MEMBERSHIP

Members are entitled to call themselves “Chartered Practising Professionals (CPP)” signifying a mark of honour, achievement, prestige, distinction, and the desire to pursue excellence.

Members can attend CIPP seminars and conferences at reduced costs where they will have opportunities to meet and network with other members, and learn to develop strategic management skills.

Members have the opportunity to progress professionally within the various categories of the Chartered Institute of Practising Professionals.

Members who wish to consider migrating to other countries for employment purposes have opportunities to receive useful advice from designated registered immigration agencies that CIPP can direct them to.

Student members of CIPP have the following additional benefits

 

Members of the Chartered Institute of Practising Professionals are also encouraged to:

  • Opportunities to discuss their professional/occupational aspirations with CIPP and for CIPP to assist them in identifying their career pathways (when appropriate).
  • Opportunities to be guided in preparing their curriculum vitae.
  • Opportunities to obtain very useful resources regarding professional interviewing skills, techniques and strategies, to assist them when they attend job interviews.
  • Opportunities to be guided regarding further studies in overseas countries.

Individual Membership

The different individual membership status from the highest to the lowest status are:

  • DFCIPP Distinguished Fellow Member of the
    Chartered Institute of Practising Professionals
  • FCIPP Fellow Member of the
    Chartered Institute of Practising Professionals
  • AFCIPP Associate Fellow Member of the
    Chartered Institute of Practising Professionals
  • MCIPP Full Member of the
    Chartered Institute of Practising Professionals
  • ACIPP Associate Member of the
    Chartered Institute of Practising Professionals
  • ASCIPP Affiliate Student Member of the
    Chartered Institute of Practising Professionals

For example if an Industrial Engineer is accepted as a member of the Chartered Institute of Practising Professionals he or she can use the letters MCIPP, and can describe himself or herself as a Certified Chartered Practising Professional Industrial Engineer.

If an Accountant is accepted as a Fellow Member he or she can use the letters FCIPP, and can describe himself or herself as a Certified Fellow Chartered Practising Professional Accountant. See Table 1
